The Advantages of a Banana

For a banana to truly serve many purposes, they should be kept at room temperature. Bananas that are kept cold lose a lot of the nutritious value. This tropical fruit has three types of natural sugars. Those three are sucrose, glucose and also fructose. If you combine those three things with fiber, you will notice that you feel more energized for a long period of time, (several hours).This explains why your runners and other people in sports choose bananas to keep their energy levels rising.

Bananas have many other uses besides an energy source. They also provide us with healing properties for various medical problems. I will go on to explain what some of the healing properties are. Hypertension helper. This is due to the fact that bananas are one of the best potassium sources, and also very low in sodium. The chances of having a stroke then, are greatly reduced. This fruit does help iron deficiency anemia since it has iron.

If you have this anemia type, your hemoglobin in the blood will greatly improve itself. Instead of treating constipation problems with laxatives, why not eat bananas? Bananas are high in fiber, and if eaten on a daily basis, will help with this problem. Since bananas provide energy, they do help the brain to focus well, and therefore, help you to become more productive. A substance called tryptophan is found in bananas. This substance has frequently been known to help with depression problems.

This is because tryptophan becomes serotonin. Serotonion is a brain chemical that, if we are lacking it, will cause depression. Morning sickness is greatly relieved in pregnant women by eating a banana. This is due in part, to the fact that glucose levels are made to stabilize. Nausea is also relieved by eating bananas. And the reason bananas relieve nausea, is because they help the stomach lining by the production of mucus. Hangovers are greatly relieved with the banana. Why?

Another valuable source in this fruit is magnesium. Magnesium helps relax the blood vessels which make your head throb in a hangover. Stomach ulcers are relieved many times through eating bananas. This is because it absorbs excess acid production in the stomach, and soothes the linings of your stomach. So bananas work as a natural remedy for many problems. Packed with Iron, Phosphorus, and many other vitamins and minerals, it outdoes any other fruit by comparison.

Bananas also have potassium which I heard helps control your nerves and can help with an irregular heart beat.
