The Truth About A Nutritious Diet

A challenge is something hard to do. Sometimes, experts, in nutrition, divide food into needed groups. We need to plan our meals and choose wisely, from each of the groups. Proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water are needed, in the right amounts, for a balanced diet. Proteins are "building blocks" to our body. The body does not store proteins. So if you are working out, and don't eat protein every day, the growth of your muscles, will be slow. Protein is found in foods such as milk, cheese, lean meats, fish, peas, beans, and peanuts, just to name a few. There are guides available, but I'll get to those in a moment. Carbohydrates gives you energy. The body stores carbohydrates in the form of starch, in the muscles. Each cell, in your body, uses food for fuel.


The body changes carbohydrates to fat, when the storage in our muscles are full. Some foods,we have in our diet, that contains carbohydrates, are fruits, sugar, rice, dried beans, bread, and potatoes. How to eat the proper amount, of these carbohydrates, are noted later. Fats, supply you with energy. However, the body uses them more slowly. The well known foods, that contain fat, are nuts, butter,bacon,and cheese. Fats are needed because they provide certain vitamins and energy, that the body needs. When do you need these? We will tell you.

The chemical regulators, we consume in the form of supplements, or through the food we eat, or vitamins. In a report by the Daily Telegraph, performing a mental exercise twice a day could help delay the rapid memory loss associated with dementia for more than a year, It said that a study of nearly 500 people aged 75 to 85 years looked at how often they did crosswords or puzzles, or just read, wrote or played card games. Of those who developed dementia, people who did 11 mental exercises a week developed memory problems about a year and four months later on average than those who did four exercises a week This study suggests that elderly people who will go on to develop dementia may delay their onset of rapid mental decline by taking part in mentally stimulating activities. However, the age at which people were diagnosed with dementia was not affected


The study has some limitations, including the fact that it was a relatively small study and only measured participation in the activities at one point in time. Although by itself, this study does not prove that increased mental activity reduces risk of dementia, keeping mentally and physically active is probably beneficial for people of all ages. Where did the story come from? The research was carried out by Dr Charles B Hall and colleagues from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and other research centers in New York.

The study was funded by the National Institute on Aging and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. It was published in the peer-reviewed medical journal Neurology. Most people assume that to exercise the brain or memory means you have to be strapped in a chair, hook up with electrodes and look at a flashing screen, Most mental exercises are leisure activities like doing word puzzles, playing poker or bridge with family and close friends, playing scrabble or mahjong, reading a novel or thinking of creative ways to solve problems.

What are Hemorrhoids?

What do hemorrhoids come from? Well the lining of the anus contains three soft, spongy tissue pads that prevent faeces from passing out until you go the toilet. The lining of the gut is inside the anus is very slimy so that stools can pass out easily. However these soft pads contain a network of tiny blood vessels which is where piles begin to occur.


When do hemorrhoids occur? Piles occur when one of the soft tissue pads has slipped downwards slightly, due to the surrounding tissue not holding it in place properly.
